Recognizing the threat that Hepatitis is to the lives of the poor who live in unsanitary conditions, LKMWT organized a free camp for Hepatitis B on Saturday, 20th December 2008. There was overwhelming response from the community for the effort carried out by LKMWT at MediHealth. The 4-hour long session was conducted to disseminate information about the disease as well as ensure that as many people as possible get tested for free for the illness. Of the 132 people checked, 5 unfortunately tested positive for the disease. Arrangements for their treatment have already begun courtesy LKMWT.
